I will not take commissions from anyone under the age of 13 unless I am in contact with their parent/guardian.

Full payment should be sent upfront or after sketch approval. Payment plans can be worked out for commissions over $100.

I can accept payment via PayPal, Cash App, or Venmo. PayPal is preferred.

I can decline a commission request for any reason.

No refunds after the lineart is started unless I, for whatever reason, cannot complete your commission. In that case, I will provide the unfinished piece and issue you a partial refund based on how much progress was made.

My work is for personal/non-commercial use only, unless we have discussed and come to an agreement beforehand.

I own all the rights to my work. I may post and use your commission for marketing purposes. Please let me know beforehand if you would like to remain anonymous.

Turnaround time is 1-2 weeks on average after starting. This may vary depending on the type of commission. I will not take rush orders.

I will not take commissions for characters not owned by the commissioner unless the owner has approved beforehand. This does not include fan art regarding corporate/marketed media (i.e. shows, movies, video games, etc.)

I will update you throughout with the sketch, flat colors, and final stages for approval. Updates can be requested at any time within reason.

You have 2 major revisions during the sketch phase. After that, I will start charging extra for each revision. No revisions after the lineart is started.

Small changes are available free of charge at any stage. (i.e. I missed a marking or detail)

Do not remove my signature. You may request it be moved, but I will not remove it.

Do not make edits to my artwork. If you want any changes, let me know.

Do not copy, trace, heavily reference, or claim my art as your own.

Never use my art to train A.I.

Please properly credit me (elliedogmeat) when using my art on other platforms as a profile picture or otherwise.

All of my designs are to remain on Toyhou.se and be accessible to me. If you do not have an account but would still like to own a design from me, I can help set you up with one. I must be provided with an access key if you wish to private the design, or have the design returned to me if you decide to go inactive or delete your account for whatever reason. This is so I can keep track of my designs.

Both major and minor edits may be made to the design, but please keep it recognizable. If you're just going to completely change the design, why buy it in the first place?

The design may be regifted.

The design may be re-traded only if the design was obtained via trade or sale.

If the design was obtained for free, it cannot be re-traded unless additional value (i.e. trades, commissions, personal art) has been added to the character's gallery. This includes "freebie swaps."

Free/Gifted art (i.e. art received in which you did not give anything in exchange) does not count as additional value.

The design may be resold for the same price as bought.

You may not resell the design for a higher price than bought unless additional value (i.e. trades, commissions, personal art) has been added to the character's gallery.

The design may be used for personal/non-commercial use only, unless we have discussed and come to an agreement beforehand.

You may not claim the original design or artwork as your own.

Do not make edits to the original artwork. You may ask if you'd like changes.

If uploading the original artwork off-site, credit to me (elliedogmeat) must be provided.

I only claim ownership of the original design concept/execution. I do not claim ownership of any redesigns.

I acknowledge that once a design is sold/traded/gifted, the design/character no longer belongs to me. I may not "claim back" a design, but I may offer to trade and/or buy the design back, to which the owner maintains the right to refuse, with or without explanation.
